For Ontario HVAC contractors
Lien deadlines for Ontario HVAC contractors.
Rooftop changeouts, new-build mechanical, service-contract retrofits — your lien clock starts on your last day of supply, not when the GC finally pays. TradesPilot pins that date the moment you add the job and counts it down for you.

What bites HVAC
The deadlines and the dollars, handled.
Same Construction Act, same WSIB rules, same 13% HST — applied to the jobs you actually run.
150 days
Perfect within 150 days of last supply
You have 60 days from your last day of supply to preserve the lien, then 90 more to perfect it — 150 days total. Miss perfection and the lien is gone, even if you preserved it on time. On staged mechanical jobs that final supply date is easy to lose track of; we hold it.
3 business days
File on time, every time
Gas, refrigerant, and rooftop work carry real injury risk. If a tech is hurt and loses time, your WSIB Form 7 is due in 3 business days — weekends and Ontario stat holidays excluded. We count those days correctly and show you the exact deadline.
Win the work
Quote the rooftop changeout three ways. Signed before you pull off the roof.
Hand the customer good, better, best on one quote — like-for-like, high-efficiency, or high-efficiency with a maintenance plan. They pick it themselves, e-sign on their phone, and the deposit’s tracked the second they say yes.
