For Ontario electrical contractors

Lien & prompt-payment deadlines for Ontario electrical contractors.

Service upgrades, panel swaps, new-build wiring — when you sub to a GC on a prompt-payment job, the Construction Act puts hard clocks on when you get paid. TradesPilot tracks both the lien dates and the prompt-payment window.

What bites electrical

The deadlines and the dollars, handled.

Same Construction Act, same WSIB rules, same 13% HST — applied to the jobs you actually run.

28 / 7 days

Prompt payment: 28 days owner→GC, 7 days GC→you

On a prompt-payment job the owner has 28 days to pay the GC after a proper invoice, and the GC has 7 days to pay you once they are paid. On top of that, your lien runs 60 days to preserve and 150 total to perfect from last supply. We watch every one of those dates.

WSIB Form 7

3 business days

File on time, every time

Arc-flash and live-panel work make electrical one of the trades WSIB watches closest. A lost-time injury is a Form 7 inside 3 business days — weekends and Ontario stat holidays excluded. We count the days right so a late filing never compounds a bad day.

A typical electrical invoice, billed right.

Proper 13% Ontario HST every time, a Stripe payment link so the customer can pay in two taps, and overdue reminders that chase the money so you don’t have to.
